Dalla struttura elementare alla complessità del reale.

Per Gianfranco Maranto lo spazio è un foglio di carta su cui disegnare linee e livelli che rimandano a un’idea di quadro, un modo di procedere che da una parte ci parla della riflessione legata all’esperienza della pittura e della composizione, dall’altra, di un modo per catturare il tempo e lo spazio nella struttura architettonica del colore e della luce, intese come lunghezze d’onda. Nella distanza percorsa durante un’oscillazione magnetica, la frequenza della luce e poi la materia del colore generano un segnale attraverso cui gli elementi entrano a far parte di un insieme, incontrano l’attenzione per la nitidezza del segno nella ridefinizione dell’ambiente. Si tratta allora di una questione di sguardi e di geometrie che ha a che fare con lo spazio e che si interroga sul come viverlo, ma prima ancora sul come intenderlo, una riflessione che in Level si fissa come gradiente che ha il potere di creare profondità e chiarezza.

In mostra, Level fonda la sua sintassi sull’essenzialità dell’elemento e sulla scansione ritmica di una certa geometria. Al contempo, l’uso dei materiali che alterano, catturano e riflettono la luce divengono veicoli per dare forma e per mostrare il mondo nell’ambivalenza tra quello che si percepisce con gli occhi e quello che si considera per comprendere. Così, il nastro adesivo e le cartoline aprono la dimensione pittorica alla possibilità di uno spostamento, di una rigenerazione spaziale e concettuale che relaziona forme, volumi, linee, pause.

Il modo con cui Gianfranco Maranto procede è dioffrire un’angolazione dalla quale guardare a una pausa che costruisce e decostruisce il dentro e il fuori delle cose. Considera le possibilità di spostamento delle relazioni tra gli elementi che rendano instabili i punti di vista, li incrementino, li incrocino e per conseguenza li investighino. Si propaga allora un’idea sull’estensione del visibile che presenta corrispondenza e proporzione riguardo ai volumi e alle superfici, agli intervalli o alle distanze in cui le tensioni pittoriche, le vibrazioni luminose e le ondulazioni magnetiche assumono in Level griglie, strutture e piani differenti.

Level è una traccia lasciata dal dialogo scaturito tra opera e ambiente che definisce un’ascensione e che muove l’individuo verso un mondo da cui è possibile accedere a dimensioni più elevate, in cui la matrice spazio-temporale sembra subire il raggiungimento di uno zero della scala graduata. Èla ricerca di ciòche appare e scompare nello specchio dell’assurdo, del limite, della chiarezza della ragione, della ricerca della varietà, del dubbio. Si costruiscono immagini di sospensioni psicologiche e atmosferiche, di intermezzi che si collocano tra dimensioni conoscitive e forze generative che non solo agiscono sulla presenza fisica di un corpo ma che imprimono un ritmo sul paesaggio. In Level non esiste un singolo istante ma un suo continuo fluire scomponibile, esiste soltanto uno stato che vive nella durata in cui tutto convivecon il mondo esterno e con lo spazio fisico e mentale, con il tempo, con il clima, con il giorno, con la notte.

For Gianfranco Maranto the space is a sheet of paper on which it is possible to draw lines and levels that refer to an idea of ​​a painting, a way of proceeding that, on the one hand, speaks to us of reflection linked to the experience of painting and composition, on the other hand, of a way to capture time and space in the architectural structure of color and light, understood as wavelengths. In the traveled distance during a magnetic oscillation, the frequency of the light and then the matter of the color generate a signal through which the elements become part of a whole, meet the attention for the sharpness of the sign in the redefinition of the environment. It is therefore a question of gazes and geometries that has to do with space and questions itself about how to live it, but even more about how to understand it, a reflection that in Level is fixed as a gradient that has the power to create depth. and clarity.

The exhibition, Level, bases its syntax on the essentiality of the element and on the rhythmic scanning of a certain geometry. At the same time, the use of materials that alter, capture and reflect light become vehicles to give shape and to show the world in the ambivalence between what is perceived with the eyes and what is considered in order to understand. Thus, adhesive tape and postcards open the pictorial dimension to the possibility of a displacement, of a spatial and conceptual regeneration that relates shapes, volumes, lines, pauses.

The way Gianfranco Maranto proceeds is to offer an angle from which to look at a pause that builds and deconstructs the inside and outside of things. He considers the possibilities of shifting the relations between the elements that make points of view unstable, increase them, cross them and consequently investigate them. An idea is then propagated on the extension of the visible which presents correspondence and proportion with regard to the volumes and surfaces, the intervals or distances in which the pictorial tensions, the luminous vibrations and the magnetic undulations take on forms, structures and different planes in Level.

Level is a trace left by the dialogue arising between the work and the environment that defines an ascension and that moves the individual towards a world from which it is possible to access higher dimensions, in which the space-time matrix seems to be zero. It is the search for what appears and disappears in the mirror of the absurd, of the limit, of the clarity of reason, of the search for variety, of doubt. Images of psychological and atmospheric suspensions are constructed, of interludes that are placed between cognitive dimensions and generative forces that not only act on the physical presence of a body but that imprint a rhythm on the landscape. In Level there is not a single instant but its continuous decomposable flow, there is only a state that lives in the duration in which everything coexists with the external world and with physical and mental space, with time, with the climate, with the day, with the night.
